Open shifts are useful when the manager knows the work that needs covering but does not yet know who should take it.
Manager creates the open shift
Enter the date, time and relevant location or team information.
Employee claims
Employees can view open shifts and submit a claim.
Approval
Where manager approval is enabled, the manager chooses the appropriate claim before the shift becomes assigned.
